"Shamrock Angel" is currently my most popular vintage Saint Patty's Day illustration on Flickr. This original "chromo" postcard illustration from circa 1909, was actually used originally as an Easter theme, but it seemed more appropriate for our vintage St. Patrick's Day collection.

This is currently my most popular vintage photograph on Flickr. It's from a vintage Valentine's Day collection on OldPixels.com - comprised of 54 old pictures and illustrations from the Victorian Era. This particular photo was taken in about 1915 by a German photographer.

It's About Time

It's about time I started this blog. I've put it off for years. Collecting vintage photographs and illustrations has been a passion of mine for over 20 years. In photography, my main areas of focus have been photos prior to the 1920's that depict everyday life. In illustrations, I've concentrated on chromolithographs prior to the 1920's, with special emphasis on Victorian Era styles.

This blog will highlight some of my favorite discoveries, both from my personal collections, and images I've found in the collections of others. I'll try to display many of those images in this blog (or link to them) and to give as much background information as possible.
